    I am having problems getting a DVD-R to work in the LiteOn LVW 5005. I have tried many different audio encodes (PCM, MPG, AC3) and they all skip a tremendous amount (video plays fine). I purchased Taiyo Yuden discs and I am still having the same problem.

    Does anyone have any idea what is causing this or what I might be able to do to fix it? Thank you.

    The 5005 doesn't do AC3 or PCM. It's MP2 audio.
    So, I'm not following you.

    It's not recorded by the player, I'm trying to play a DVD I authored using dvdlab.
