I need to convert the VHS to DVD. So I purchased SIMA SCC-2 Pro to better the picture quality.
I have couple of question on how to use it so if you have and using SIMA SCC-2 Pro convert I need your help.
1. Can I connect VCR using composite cable to SIMA and connect pass-through camera to SIMA using S-VIDEO?
So the connection will be like this.
VCR > RCA cable > SIMA > S-Video cable > Camera (SONY TRV-720) > IEEE1394 cable > PC Capture card.
2. I know that SIMA strips the Macrovision protection, but will camera still prevents capturing the tapes with Macrovison protection? I mostly will be capturing personal tapes w/o Macrovision protection, but maybe sometimes I will need to capture the tape with Macrovison protection.
Thanks very much for your help.
