    Stumbled across an app called AVS2AVI http://www.avs2avi.org which processes the AviSynth .AVS file from the command line. Quite easy to use if you're comfortable with the command prompt and batch files.

    It has been around for a fair while now and there are a couple of front ends for it for those that don't like the commandline. Also AR calculator uses it.

    I don't get it?

    What does it do?

    All you have to do is load your AVS script into your encoder?

    What is this command line nonesense???

    Wel as said, for batch processing, including 2 pass mode and loading of codec setttings. Plus it can easily be used by tools like ARCalculator, stats from the encode can easily be passed to the GUI.

    Also there was a version a while back that could kind of create native MPEG4 matroska files using XviD.
