not sure if this is the right section for this but if there's a problem just lemme know.....I have an MKV file with multiple subs and audio, i was able to separate the video (XVID), audio (OGG) and the Sub (.srt/.ssa) file using VirtualDubMod....i want to convert it into VCD with permanent subtitles but i don't know how.
I have read almost all the topics regarding this but none of them worked....can somebody give me a simple or easy way to do this???
any help would be appreciated.thanks

It would help if you told is what you have tried and what exactly that didn't work.
vobsub/ffdshow and tmpgenc?
virtualdub and add the subs and frameserve to tmpgenc?
or something else?
actually i can't even remember now which ones I've tried but I think i tried frameserving it in VirtualDubMod and when i opened it in TMPGenc i didn't see the Subs......i got so confused!.....not sure if i tried vonsub/ffdshow and TMPGenc......can we start from the scratch again???....i don't mind doing it again, maybe there's something I missed....Thanks for replying by the way.

anybody???.......just the easiest * simplest way...pls....

if you already have a Xvid file as you said its simple.
use TMPGEnc ,load the avi and reencode it to VCD.
just take care in TMPGEnc`s enviromental settings-VFAPI
Plug-in to put "directshow multimedia file reader" on top of the list.
rgrds
DrWafer.....will that add the Subtitles permanently to the video?....i wanted to join the video and the subtitles permanently in VCD format

is there anobody that can help? i would really appreciate it
