Adding scrolling text to a picture

I have a picture on which I want to add a scrolling text. This is not a movie or a slide show, only one picture. Any suggestions?

hi,
what do you intend to do with the picture? view it on tv or pc, a wallpaper, a web animation etc.? any video editing software can do this premiere or vegas but the pic will be converted to video file if you want to add a scrolling text, or you can animate it in photoshop for web use.

I just want to view it on a PC. I checked out a local electronics store and found a software called Video Explosion. The maker of this software claims that scrolling texts can be added to the picture. I will have to do a little research to find more info on this software, like reviews, ratings, etc.

One of your video editing apps you already own will probably add some scrolling text. I believe Studio and a few others do that... (may have a cap on text length though)
