I like online stores that tell you how much shipping will cost BEFORE checkout. Neither Meritline nor Supermediastore do that as far as I have checked (prove me wrong
).
Both NewEgg and RIMA tell you either right next to the item or in the cart how much shipping will cost. Reward good business practices, and punish bad ones I say.
Taiyo Yuden brand should be authentic from all four of those stores.
Rima here also. Lower delivered cost and top quality customer service.
Still a few bugs in the system...

To me, "before checkout" means "before you pay". All you do is add to your shopping cart, goto the "checkout" screen, and enter you name/address and then desired shipping method. It calculates a total on the second screen before you pay.
Of course, for the "free shipping" deals, nothing to wonder about.
Standard procedures at most stores, even Amazon and other big ones.Answers to Common Video Questions:

Ummm... not really. To me, "before checkout" means before you have to press the CHECKOUT button and enter your personal info.Proved wrong.
I don't think anybody is expecting a store to tell you how much shipping is AFTER you pay. That is just silly.
I don't know about you but I hate to enter my personal info into a website just to check to see if they are ripping me off on shipping. Often, I like to know how much shipping for multiple items will cost etc. It is simple enough to set up a zip-code system like RIMA. Instead, SuperMediaStore purposely does not tell you how much shipping will cost to fool customers. It is that simple. This is the reason I have never shopped at SuperMediaStore. Seems like a shady business practice to me. I would not trust a store that seems to be hiding costs from me and making my shopping experience more difficult. I don't care if Amazon does it, NewEgg and RIMA don't, so I shop there instead. (I hardly buy from Amazon for the same reason.)
For shame SuperMediaStore.
NEWEGG ROCKS!
All the REAL info you need to supply is your state and zipcodeOriginally Posted by 888888
Try it. just put 1's in all the fields and click continue
Yes, that is what I usually do. My point is that doing this is a waste of time and SuperMediaStore should value their customers time more than to make them think up made up adresses like 123 Fake Street.
Not everybody lives in the same place. Shipping rates are different everywhere. I'd much rather have a PERSONAL rate calculated for me, not the same one given to the guy living in the middle of nowhere.
You DO realize that even your street address can change the shipping amount, right? It does. Go to UPS and ask them.Answers to Common Video Questions:

Not in supermedia's case, least not for me that is.Originally Posted by lordsmurf

A zipcode is a zipcode, I don't think the difference could be THAT huge.Originally Posted by lordsmurf

Making it happen in Iraq....
It is. Even a bigger difference between residence and business. Can be $5 or more on average, in many cases. A couple blocks down the same street can be a totally different zone.Originally Posted by 888888Answers to Common Video Questions:

You put in a zip code at Rima they give you a price, that's what you pay, it doesn't matter where you are in that zip code.
I think that is lordsmurf's point, that RIMA may be charging more than it has to by making a sort of umbrella price for a whole zip-code.Originally Posted by samijubal
Personally, I STILL prefer RIMA's system to SuperMediaStore as I think SuperMediaStore will charge whatever they want on shipping regardless.
