  1. I have installed both VobSub_2.23.exe and the directshow plugin vsfilter_nt.exe but I cannot see subtitles using the .SUB suffix, but I can see subs using the .SRT format with no problems.

I thought at first that I had some dodgy .SUB files but after downloading several from divxstation I know it's not a problem with corrupted subs files.

I've tried using latest versions of BSplayer, Mediaplayer Classic and Zoom but the problem exists on all players. I'm having to convert .SUB files into .SRT files in order to see them and this sometimes brings with it some sync issues.

Anybody have any ideas? The filter is present in the win/system32 directory and I can't see how it can only be registered for .SRT files and not .SUB files.

Is there some switch I have to flip somewhere in order to see .SUB files??
    Running Win2K.

    Cheers,

    J

No switch, I have installed vobsub and it works fine with all .sub/.idx files(image subtitles, the .sub is kinda big = a few meg). If you miss the .idx file it wont work.
