I'm trying out WinDV to capture tapes from my ADVC-300. It keeps splitting the file up. Is there no option to create one huge AVI file? I have WinXP, and NTFS partition, so no 4GB limit here.

Hi Wile_E,
Sorry - can't help on that one, but if it turns out it doesn't then maybe DVIO, AVI_IO or Scenalyzer Live will do the job...
I'm not sure, but VitrualDub may also do the trick - I'm not sure if it captures DV (which I believe your ADVC inputs to the PC).There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
Carpe diem.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.
Oops...Just checked the WinDV settings. It has option to set AVI size up to 1000000 frames. That should be good for at least 8-9 hours recording, I think.
