It sounds like you need to reinstall.

I was fixing this one person's computer that did that and I had to reinstall.

If the activation is farked up, it will do that.

To get to safe mode boot the computer and keep pressing F5 as soon as you press the power on button.

This sounds like you used one of the common cracks to bypass the Windows Authentication process and it either didn't work (after 30 days) or it got re-instated after an update. That crack deleted the popups and messages surrounding the fact you had to now authenticate your version of Windows but the lock-out still works --> thus, no messages but automatically "logging you out".

If this above scenario describes your situation, then you've been a bad boy...

Na, I've seen this happen on legit machines before. I dont know a way to fix it short of reinstalling but it is not an original problem.

no i use the windows xp home edition that came already installed on my pc. plus, i would never download windows, windows is probably one of the most downloaded things, and since its a program, someone could easily replace it with a virus. so dont worry about pirated windows over here :P

  12. boot from you Windows XP CD, and let windows detect partitions/OS installed. you shoule be given th eoption of new/clean install, and a repair the current installation. choose to repair. your apps a,d data will remain, only the OS will be reinstalled, that is key files for opertation, and details of your hardware will be re-written to your registry, and the wpa schtuff.
Be satisfied, the day is yours. If i have to explain, you would'nt understand.

  13. Invvader FYI if you lost your personal you can recover it. Try a search for data recovery.

  14. For future reference:
If anything like that happens again where you can't log onto windows, I would highly recommend that you download and burn a copy of slax linux, see www.slax.org . Even if you don't know anything about linux this works great as a backup os. All you do is put the cd in at startup and it will boot from the disk. You won't even have to go into windows. It auto detects your hardware and tcp\ip settings so you can log onto the internet. The iso image file for slax is only 150 mb. If you want a version that has many more apps, you can try knoppix, at www.knoppix.net -which is also a live-cd at about 700 MB.
