join idx/subs from different languages into one idx/sub.how?

hi,

i've been looking for a reply like crazy. haven't found one yet.

i have
file.avi

and idx/sub subtitles for that file, each for a different language
file_english.idx
file_english.sub

file_spanish.idx
file_spanish.sub

file_german.idx
file_german.sub

if i want to read the subs i have to rename them to file.* so that vobsubs can "see" them and it displays the subtitles.

is there ANY way to join again those idx/sub into one idx/sub so that i can choose what language i want displayed (without renaming)?
