    when i use it .....it says no date code or time what am i doing wrong?

    My cam is a Sony HC30 i did have to convert the DV to a diferant type maybe thats why? I had to convert it the video wouldn't show up untill i did i used windows movie maker to capture.

    when you converted it - you stripped off the date/time

    well when i didn't convert it......it wouldn't open the DV file?
