I have ripped my -cousin wedding- DVD in Mactheripper 2, and now have 5 vob's inwhich I am trying to run through ffmpegx, the 2nd and the 3rd have completed and they are complete, but number 1 stops 180 or so Kb in and gives me a .mpv,.mpa,and a .mpg which have about 2 second encoded the 4th and 5th are about the same. any idea what I may be doing wrong?

You should encode the VIDEO_TS folder and not the different VOBs inside it.
I've tried that, but it keeps giving me a short clip of darkness, the encoding only lasts a few seconds? could i have done something wrong in mactheripper? it seemed pretty self explanitary, but maybe I missed something.
here are the settings i was using:
MPEG2 (mpeg2enc)
videosize = 720x576 (original size)
auto size= DVD 16:9
framerate = PAL (25) (original fps)
Title = 1
audio = .AC3 (original audio format)
Subtitles checked to burn
mpeg2enc options=
checked -no svcd scan
checked - altivec
checked - bicubic
checked - decode with mplayer
profile=DVD
qmatrix=standard
interlace=not interlaced
thread=normal
checked-open terminal window and keep elemental streams
could i have the settings incorrect?
and thanks for replying...
Are you able to preview with the "Play" button? You could alternatively use 0SEx to extract in Program Stream mode so as to obtain a single VOB file.
yes i am able to preview and play the video_ts folder (as well as the individual vobs)
I tried sending the video _ts through as you suggested, and i thought it worked, but it stopped at 1 and a half gigs? heres what the last line said in the terminal :
**ERROR: [mplex] Unable to open file /Users/Desktop/dfdf.mpa for reading.
but that is the audio,
any ideas?? I guess i'll try OSex like you said
this is getting wearying..........
how do you get osex to give a single vob?
I take that back it will not preview from the button on the "video" tab, but it will play.
also it will preview on the preview on the "filters" tab?
By selecting "Prog. Stream" in the FMT menu.Originally Posted by sugarpill
well, I tried that.
it will only go so far as title 1 chapter 1 about 6min47sec in and closes down.
seems like there might be a problem with the disc?
you wold think that if mactheripper worked others would as well?
also is 0.011a1 the current?
