  1. I'd like to increase the output file size for DV Rebuilder processed video.

    Is it just to add in the '[Options]' section of the rebuiler.ini file the following lines with desired output size in sectors:
    [Options]
    TargetSectors= nnnnnnn
    CCETargetSectors=nnnnnnn
    ReJigTargetSectors=nnnnnnn
    QuEncTargetSectors=nnnnnnn

    Thank you for reading & your input.

    You dont need to add all those lines. Use the line for the encoder you are using (CCE, QuEnc or ReJig) or just the
    TargetSectors= nnnnnnn
    line, it works for all the encoders.

    In DVDRebuilder the default figure is TargetSectors= 2246000 . You can increase inj order to increase the size ou your output video, but you will risk the video will not fit into the DVD+-R, so it can not be burned into a sigle layer disk, which is the purpose of using DVD-Rebuilder in the first place.

    I've been using
    TargetSectors= 2260000
    mostly without problems. You can try it.

    But you have always to check the resulting compressed video will fit into one DVD: I ususally use DVDShrink to chek it. And if it does not, I use the same DVDShrink to do a final compresion of the menus and extras (with the Main Movie in No Compression) to fit the DVD.

  3. Thank you very much Pablo.
    Have you seen in your .ini file the default value (ie TargetSectors= 2246000)?

    My concern is that the Rebuilder.ini file (I could find) does not contain any of those lines:
    TargetSectors=
    CCETargetSectors=
    ReJigTargetSectors=
    QuEncTargetSectors=

    So i just added them with numeric values for the target sectors, will see what happens.

    No, it is not in the original .ini file, as it is an internal figure that you can change through the .ini file.

    This is explained in one of the Guides you can get in the DVD-Rebuilder's forum at www.doom9.org (is a Sticky post just at the beginning of the forum). (Sorry, but the Forums server is currently down)
