  1. I couldn't find anything in the DVD media section, so I figured I'd start a topic here.

If you have any experience with good/bad media for the JVC, please post here. Based on my experience, I don't recommend using Verbatim Datalife DVD-R media from Sam's Club (made in Taiwan by Mitsubishi). See my other post on the subject:

I can recommend the Maxell DVD-R media at Walmart.

    Thanks.

  2. It's almost impossible to recommend a certain brand of media since many of them are using numerous manufacturers. For instance, I use mostly Fuji media and the 50-packs are made in Taiwan by Ritek wheras the smaller packs are made in Japan by Taiyo Yuden. Most people recommend the Japanese media.

  3. DVD-R: I've only used yellow-top Maxells (MXLRG02 & TYG01) in my M10S. No coasters yet.

DVD-RW: Maxell (TDK502) and Memorex (RITEKW01) have worked fine for me.

DVD-RAM: No problems with TDK (MXL7).

  4. Don't use Optodisc, bad spots that you won't know are there till playback. 180 + Prodiscs I haven't had a problem yet, and they only cost about 40 cents apiece in lots of 100. Those are both DVD-R.
