CAN YOU COMPRESS A MPEG1?

I WAS WONDERING IF YOU CAN COMPRESS A MPEG1(VCD FILE) TO MAKE IT SMALLER? I HAVE A FILE A BIGGER THAN THE CD CAN FIT AND I DON'T KNOW IF IT WILL FIT OR NOT..PLEASE REPLY..THANKS

But anyway, go to the tools section, under templates (for TMPGEnc) use Sefy's Templates to convert.
i wouldn't recommend recompressing an mpeg file... it's gonna look blockier than before.
They'll do real well for that if you configure them a little more, or buy bigger cd's.

if you don't have the original source (assuming you converted from another format), get a bigger cd. if you have the original, reconvert... or get a bigger cd.

just tweak the settings a little... just lower the bitrate for somethings, like the audio or something
Overburning is another option, but you got that on your other topic (although i wouldn't go for that either..)
