Converting Audio From WMA to Lame

I have a DivX episode encoded with WMA that I need converted to MP3 so my DVP642 player can play the audio. I can rip the audio track out with Goldwave to a WAV file but can I replace the WMA track without reencoding the video?

you can with virtualdubmod. under the "streams" menu, select "stream list", load the wav into it, then save the avi. and make sure "direct stream copy" is checked in the video menu.
