  1. I have a few DataSafe (Ritek G04s) which I've discovered have read errors in the last third of the disc. I'm trying to recover the "data" from these so that I can burn it onto the Verbatim's I have (which work flawlessly).

    Everytime I try to create an ISO from the discs using DVD Decrypter, I get errors such as this one;

    Is there any hope of me recovering the data from these discs?

    How can you and why would you want to recover bad data?

    Try ripping from the DVD writer instead of the DVD rom drive.
    And use Smartripper.

    Whenever I get ripping errors, I tried alternate different drives and ripping softwares, it works not all but most of the time if the errors were actually recoverable.

    That's why I'm asking you guys

    The data's not "bad", it's just struggling to read the disc. I'm sure I read somewhere that read errors are the inability of the device/software to read the disc, not necessarily a flaw with the disc.

    Is there hope?

    I am using the DVD Writer as it's the only DVD drive in the machine. I'll give that SmartRipper a go, cheers.
