phillips dvp-642 hack code help

I just brought this DVD player the other day , and so far it works great gets a little over heated but nothing serious . My question is this , it seems that the hack code will not go in ( 7 , 8 , 9 OK ) . I went into the system menu and chose multi-region from there , is that all i need to do as the hack code will not work . I try puting in the hack code and all i get is the hand ( stop ) signal and will not let me punch in the numbers . The main reason i brought this player is to play all regions and especialy PAL , i have no region 2 PAL DVDs as yet to test this out but wanting to know if i am doing something wrong . I have all ready used the Forceware version 0531 update . thanks .

I found the problem , i pressed 7 , 8 , 9 without the 0 on the end . oops !
