    I am running Win2000.

    I have firewire card installed and it is working. When I plug in the camcorder, the PC doesn't see the camcorder.

    Any ideas on what to check?

    Bad cable? Card slightly risen from slot (check device manager)? Does it work with software supplied with camcorder?

    during my search for GS11/15 reviews i noticed someone with the same problem...he solved it by turning everything off (camera+pc), then turn the camera on in PC mode, then turn on the PC.
