    Some kicking programs to use with a HTPC:

    Grider - www.girder.nl - Used to control you PC via remote
    myHTPC - www.myHTPC.net - Front end that makes it look good
    Zoomplayer - www.inmatrix.com - Need I say more
    AC3filter - ac3filter.sourceforge.net - Dolby Digital Decoder
    ffdShow - sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow - general purpose decoder/postprocessor

    UIRT2 - www.fukushima.us/UIRT2 - Not software, but a homebrew IR receiver capable of starting your HTPC from the remote
