    I need some help, i have the movie, the butterfly effect its about 712mb, when i want to burn it as a dvd movie on a dvd player, it turns out to be 7gb , i need some help..... could anyone help me to tell me what program do i need to get so i can reduce the size of it tnx


    please read the rules -- no warez ...

    this movie is not even out on dvd yet ..

    In what format is it when it's 712 MB, and what do you use to create a DVD from it?
    If source format is AVI (DivX, XviD...) there are many guides to be read left on the topic of AVI to DVD...
    ...But to answer your question: DVDShrink.

    Why don't you transcode your 7gb mpeg2 file down to 4.7gb with Rejig.

    In future you want to make sure you get the bitrate right when encoding so that it will fit on a DVD. Check the tools section for bitrate calculators.
