  1. I'm trying to get the best quality out of the dvd-9 to dvdr-5 process.

I've downloaded all software that prentend to be the best. DVD Shrink, Instant copy, cloneDVD2, DVD cloner II, 1 Click DVD, Intervideo etc.

My test is Friends Season 1 Disk 1, it's about 5.5 gig original space.

    So it's not much compression.

My computer a P3 866 Mhz, 256 Mb Ram, Hard drive 256 Gb. , LG 4081b DVD writer, Windows Xp.

What should I do to get good quality on my backups ?

    Upgrade Cpu, memory ?

Thanks for your help in advance

Computer hardware will not affect the quality of backups, its the software that you use. Tv shows are more likely to pixelate than movies due to the lowere res/bitrate than a hollywood movie. I use dvd shrink & enable the deep analysis function when backing up a TV show dvd.
