Nero 6 OEM

My new drive, the Memorex True8X, came with the Nero 6 OEM suite. Now, none of the discs I burn on DVD+R media will play, while burning the same exact data files to a DVD+RW disc play just fine. (Both media are also Memorex, and both worked fine under Nero 5.5 with my previous drive.)

Any ideas? (I've already checked for firmware and software updates.)

Tried burning at lower speeds?

do you have both versions of NERO installed on your pc? try uninstalling the NERO 6 OEM that came with your memorex drive and just use version 5.5

I did try burning at 1x and 2x, no luck. I also used the Nero cleaning utilities to strip off everything so I could get a clean install. Same problem.

The problem, however, has been solved, and this drive will be going back to the store on Monday (for a variety of reasons) in favor of an HP:
