  1. I am trying to play DVD-R but the picture keeps scrolling and is black and white. The sound is perfect. I am having an ORITRON DVD600. Can any one help me.

    Sounds like PAL - NTSC issue

    You have either a DVD that is in one of these formats and the TV is another.

    Example - since you did not specify where you are from. A PAL DVD trying to view on an NTSC television will do just as you observe.

    If you have a multi format TV then see if DVD is incorrectly selected in the setup.

    Play DVD in computer. If Ok and the above dosen't apply then DVD player is fooked.

  3. Thank You Holistic. I am in U.S. My TV is not a multi format, it is an NTSC. The DVD I am trying to play is PAL which is from India.

    I tried to do setup on my DVD player for TV Format(DVD). But it just gives me an option for PAL(M/N) and PAL(B/G/1). It does not give me an option for NTSC. Can you please tell me if there are any other options.
