Editing Menu and adding custom frame

I'm copying the Band of Brothers Box set onto a DVD+R for each "part" (10 hour long parts, two on each regular DVD)

Since the menu allows for selection of either the first or second part on each DVD, I want to insert a frame asking for the insertion of the next disc when the part absent from the disc is selected (rather than just taking the button out).

First of all, how can I go about making my own frame for that ... I've seen a lot all over the internet but most say "Insert Disc 2" ... and mine is going to go far further than disc 2

Secondly, what's the best and easiest way to add that into my menu setup so that when say the 2nd part is selected from the main menu ... it will go to my custom frame rather than the sub menu for that part. I have been looking at DVDRemake ... but that doesn't seem to do what I'm looking for.

I use Nero Recode 2 for this sort of thing. It allows you to remove parts of the disk and replace them with either a still or clip. I use this sometime to put the movie on one disk and the bonus stuff on another. On the first pass, I remove all the bonus fatures and replace them with a still referencing Disk 2. Burn it, load up the lot again, and remove the movie, again replacing it with a still frame, referencing Disk 1 this time. Burn it.

et viola, to disks (Disk 1 - feature film, Disk 2 - Bonus material). If the viewer selects a bonus feature on Disk 1, they will get a screen telling them to change disks. All the menus continue to function as before.

An elegant fix that is!
I've been mucking about in DVDLab to do the same thing. It works, but not as simply as you've put it.
