  1. Hi, if anyone could help me with this it'd be greatly appreciated:

I want to convert old VHS tapes to my harddrive so I can eventually burn them to DVD's. I'm planning to buy a USB one for the pure fact I wouldn't need to (or have someone else) bust open my comp to install a card. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice, past experience, or any other suggestions of what USB video capture to get.

I have already read reviews for both from here and on other websites but would like more input. I am hoping to capture good visual and even better audio. (FYI: First of my VHS tapes I hope to convert are seven 6hr tapes filled of Woodstock '99). Anything that captures well, is durable, near-problem free and especially easy to install would work.

    Thanks

  2. I own the Hauppauge PVR-250, which is PCI, but even USB 1 is fast enough for hardware real-time capturing.
