Hi to everyone,
I recently had my first attempt at creating a VCD slideshow of still images
with my notebook running XP. I used PHILLIPS and Maxell CD-R`S which played back ok on my computer. But when inserted in my Panasonic E30 recorder to view through the TV all i get is the first page,so to speak, and i cannot advance further. When play is pressed the "disc not recognised"symbol appears, with the initials PBC in the E30 display. Am i doing something wrong?. The slideshow was created using Roxio Photosuite 5. The E30 handbook states it will play VCD but not Photo CD, are these one and the same. Any information and advice would be wellcome so i can view my pictures on TV.
Regards Doaney.

VCD and Photo CD are not the same (Photo CD is a standard created by Kodak for viewing and working with photos, it's not a slideshow format.)The E30 handbook states it will play VCD but not Photo CD, are these one and the same.
You could try burning your VCD slideshow onto CD-RW, instead of CD-R. Sometimes stand alone DVD players will recognize CD-RW, better than CD-R.
Thanks for your prompt reply elkfir,
I will try your suggestion, also Photo2vcd appears as a recommendation in the Forum it may be an idea to try both. By the way,I did E Mail Panasonic support here on the UK a week ago, I am still waiting for a reply.
Regards doaney.
