Is this the way all dvd's are gonna be???? Doubt it very much!!

Recently did a back up of my dvd and was amazed to see that when i loaded it into dvd decrypter, that it was open to ALL regions and without any encryption (CSS & macrovsion) whatsoever!

Definitely a first that i have seen! I'm sure it is just a one off!

The copy I rented read region free but was encrypted. I confirmed the encryption by trying to make a video tape copy and that failed because it was in fact copy protected. I suspect DVD Decrypter simply isn't accurrate at reading the disk.

Making a videotape copy of something doesn't prove it is encrypted or not. It only proves it is protected against analog copying with macrovision.

its prob got sum bizarre anti piracy app on it hidden away so if people play copies of it it will make your dvd player send a copy alert signal through your tv ariel and alert the local anti piracy league.

I just downloaded Kill Bill 3 and it doesn't appear to have any encryption, either...

I'm going to bust out laughing if anybody reports this thread...

I just downloaded Kill Bill Volumes 1, 2 & 3 and all three are region free and CSS free. I'm don't want to re-encode but I want to magically transform them so that they all fit on the 1 CD with no loss of quality and I want a menu and I need it in like, 10 minutes. Does anyone know a one click program that can help me ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

...Did I mention that I also want to convert PAL to NTSC ?
...And widescreen to fullscreen ? I don't like the black bars and I'm too tight to buy a widescreen TV.
...Oh, and can I make the audio 5.1 channel ? I think the source is 128kb MP2.
...And a menu that links to each DVD's individual menu.

By the way, I only have 5 minutes now. Don't forget...no loss of quality.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Wanna trade? I just downloaded a parody of "Bang The Drum Slowly" that was made in honor of that guy who set the new world's record for taking matters into his own hands in one day. It's called Pound The Flounder Slowly. It fits on one floppy

Yeah, my versions of KB 1-4 were encrpyted macrovsioned and had a padlock on the box to keep from opening the container. However, i used
tgpo SuperDuperRipper, and that did the trick!
