  1. Hi, I got some OGM files but I can`t play the sound from them, video is fine. I have downloaded the vorbis codec and whenever I try and install I get installation failed and it stops.

I get the same error when I try to install the lame codec. Both codecs I am installing by right click and select install.

I have also tried remove all traces of the lame and vorbis codecs from my system but still get the same error.

Edit, if I look at the file in gspot it crashes straight away.

    Thanks in advance.

    Doot

It displays subtitles and allows you to switch audio streams(if they're there). Most OGM's have sub streams and multiple audio tracks and it could be that these are causing the problems for you. Just a guess though. Your OGM might be damaged to begin with.

  8. I got two ogm files and before I installed any vorbis codec I could play the video ok but when I use gspot, win media player or browse with exporer they all crash.

I can`t seem to install a vorbis codec on my system, its listed in the audio codecs props but I can`t select any options for it.

  9. Right I have the vorbis ogg codec installed, I can convert a wav to ogg and play it back but I still can`t play a ogm file. It just crashes whatever player I use. Am I right in thinking its an xvid video with ogg audio. Does anyone know where there is a small ogm file I could test (i`m only on 64k) so I could see if the two files I have are damaged or not.

    Thanks doot.

  10. Did you uninstall the old Ogg codec before you installed the OggDS 0.9.9.5?

By the way there is another version of this running around that has been re-structured to allow separate install of Muxer/Splitter and Encoder/Decoder.

    http://nic.dnsalias.com/OggDS0996_inst.zip

Its supposed to work a little better with the CoreVorbis.ax filter.
