    I have the binaries dated April 2004 on my computer and mpeg2enc dated april. 2004 too.
    The binaires that are downloadable now date back to feb. and march 2003 and sept 2003.
    Should I replace the ones I already have by those older ones?

    Use only the binaries whose links are indicated in the installer window.
