Hi, I have been burning a couple a DVD`s and when I play them back in my pioneer 525 player they all stop at 65 secs then at around 6 1/2 minutes etc. I have tried burning to two different makes of DVD R but still does the same. Anyone know what might be causing this to happen or have a solution. Burning with NU DDRW 082.
Thanks Doot

Thread: DVD R stops after 65 seconds

Hello mate, sorry this isn't any help but I've been having the exact problem with my CyberHome AD-L528. After about 6mins into each chapter, my whole DVD just freezes up and I can't pause or stop or do anything with the DVD. I have to manually turn off the player. I tried creating simple menus without any pictures of .JPG images, in the hope that this could be the problem, but my DVD player must be compatible with these types of images, as the menus work perfectly. With my dad's cheaper ALBA DVD Player, the movies I have created work brilliantly, without any problems at all. Maybe your burner software is incompatible with your DVD Player? I have tried burning with a few programs and have had the same problems with each.
If you do manage to fix the problem, be sure to post another reply on here with how to fix the problem!
Thanks very much
Well I didn`t fix my problem I just found out what I was doing that is wrong. I found out that the ac3 files produced by besweet will not work with pioneer dvd players.
All I need now is a free or cheap way of encoding ac3 files that work with pioneer dvd players.
You can try ffmpeggui but you may have the same trouble.

Best thing to do is either get a cheapo dvd player that plays everything or invest in a dvd authoring program such as tmpgenc dvd author with the ac3 plugin which is dolby ac3 which will work on pioneer dvd players.
Ben Johnson-I didnt take any stereos!
tmpgenc dvd author will only encode 2ch, but yes I may think about getting a new dvd player. My pioneer is getting old now and the tray won`t stay open sometimes. Its getting a pain.Originally Posted by johns0

I would have done but it was an ac3 448k audio so didn`t want to lose the dolby digital.Originally Posted by fritzi93
Okay, just wondering. If it's that important to you, seems you're back to what JohnsO suggested.

It appears thats the only way untill besweet is updated to include pioneer compatible ac3 streams.Originally Posted by fritzi93
