    I have a Sony DVP-NS425P. The specifications say that it will only play NTSC discs, but just out of interest I stuck a PAL VCD in it and it worked.

    Does this mean that it will also play region free PAL DVDs?

    alot of dvd players will play pal vcd's, i have yet to see one that wont display it correctly, if it will play vcd at all..

    but as for regionfree pal dvd's, thats a rarer occurance.
