    Hi all,
I can't seem to capture from my camcorder entire video, which is 35mins . It cuts off at 4,194,211KB
I try the following settings, yet no can do:
    type-2 avi
    discontinuity (0)
    max avi (1000000)
    every frame (1)

I tried, So I can join them

    type-2 avi
    discontinuity (5)
    max avi (22500)
    every frame (1)

If there is a file size limit because of win98. The question I ask myself is, "How come I can rip or copy 10gig files?"

    I'm using windows98 se,
    Camcorder, HandyCam Video8 Trv-22 ntsc
    Capturing device, ADVC-50
    HD 80gigs

Interesting, so my Handycam causes a restriction on file size.

Another problem I been having is when I join 4 files with virtualdub I get this error message " Cannot seek within file " countryscene" The parameter is incorrect"

I tried these methods mentioned at:
    http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/viewto...ight=seek+file
But I still get an error, I scan the file and have no bad frames, I even renamed them, I placed them in a different directory. I still get this error message.

You guys have any idea on what I'm doing wrong or what I maybe missing?

    thanks

It's not your camcorder, it's your file system. FAT32 has an absolute 4GB file size limit. If you want larger files, you need Windows XP or 2000 with NTFS
