Stupid Pioneer 510 question

When playing back from the HDD does it display a counter?

I have a Samsung DVD-40 and when you play from the HDD it only displays the clock! You have no idea how far in to the show you are.

Well I have a 5100 (European version of the 510) and it does display a time counter (on screen or front panel) when playing from HDD or DVD. I'm presuming that the 510 will be the very similar.

Not such a stupid question in my view.

Seems like Samsung were the stupid ones for leaving out such a useful function!

I bought it yesterday and it displays what I wanted. So far it seems really good.

The Samsung is so frustrating to use. The only good thing about it that it's easy to put in a 80gig HDD in it from the 40gig original.
