    Hello,
I just bought myself a bose acoustimass 15 series II entertainment set along with a Denon-884 receiver. This bose system is a 5.1-channel speaker system, upgradble to 6.1. I was wondering which dvd player would best suit my needs for getting optimum sound quality? Some dvd players say "Built-in DTS® Surround Sound Decoder" and "Optical Digital Output for DTS® & Dolby Digital® Surround Sound" but what does this mean? Does it support 5.1 audio? I am looking for a dvd player which can play both 5.1 and possibly 6.1 audio but do not understand what these features mean. I would appreciate any help. Which dvd players can I purchase? Thanks.

Who buys equipment THAT expensive and then asks such mundane simple basic questions about a DVD player.

Oh yeah ... someone with too much money and not enough brains.

Why don't you bother the "the crazies" over at the AVS FORUM

They will direct you to buy a $1,000 DVD player and another $300 in connections cords.

And oh yes don't forget the $500 A/C line conditioner!

  4. Take it back. No offence but Bose is the most over-rated expensive piece of crap I have ever seen.
