    Is there anywhere I can download files to make a region free boot disk for my PS2? I received a Japanese DVD for a gift and I want to play it! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Also, are there any region hacks for a Vivid HTB 2000?

    you can't use any such disc burned off the net without a modchip in the system. you can get a software called DVD X or DVD Region Free that will knock out region coding on the PS2 though. You'll have to buy it. runs $20 I believe.

    Edit: Please note that the links in this post do NOT go to the software I'm talking about. they link to software in the tools section that happens to go by the same name and has nothing to do with the software needed for the PS2.
