  1. I have an Apex AD-5131 dvd player for 2+ years and I recently bought the Zenith C32V37 TV. Now, these two unit's remote controls are conflicting with each other. Some of the buttons, e.g FF, REV, Setup, etc, on the DVD remote control are controling the TV. However, all these buttons seem to just control the video input mode of the TV, nothing else. Since the TV remote is an univeral remote, I did try to add the code of the DVD player on the TV remote. I remove the code already, but the problem is still here. I called the support of the TV, they said it is a rare situation that the frequency of both remotes conflict with each other. Nothing they can do here.

    Please help!

Sounds like your question has been answered.

The only real cure is buy a new DVD Player (these are very cheap now) or ask if you can change your TV to a different model .

I had the same problem then I purchased a HOME THEATRE MASTER from www.remotecentral.com it costs $100.00 bucks and it controls all my gear 9 components in all and it's all I need ,and finally you can teach it all the commands from your original remotes and it also has a huge library of codes in the book and is upgradable via internet.. :P

  5. I bought a new Aspire Digital AD-1100, and I got similar problem

This time, whenever I press the menu button on my TV's remote, the movie will jump back to the beginning of the disc. I like the TV by itself, but enjoying movie on DVD/VCD is also very important. I don't know if this only happens to cheap brand DVD players. I still have 3 weeks to decide if I should keep this TV.

Some players can work with more than one control code. I had 2 JVC VCR's that used the same code. In the manual there was instructions on how to change the input code for one of the units. After that, no interference. You may also be able to use a different code for a similar model and just have it operate a few of the controls. (Maybe a universal remote with more codes.) Or worst case, nothing will cure it.
