dv to divx (mencoder)

here is my problem: i want to make a divx (.avi) from a .dv file (recorded from tv using formac studio tvr) but at the end of the process i get no audio track. someone can help me? i run ffmpegX 009 on osx 10.2.8

I see that nearly a year has elapsed since your question. I had the same problem, also recoding from a Formac. No audio. I don't think it has anything to do with the formac box because the DV file is fine.

I've been making DivX AVI's from .DV files for a while now with no real problems. I use the 'DivX ffmpeg' option, though I did encounter hang-ups using the 'DivX mencoder' option. Maybe you could try that option instead.

Also, make sure that 'encode audio' is checked under the Audio tab and the audio codec selected is correct and installed on your system.
