    Ordered a LDW-411S DVD-RW drive from newegg.com.When i opened the box and looked at the drive i noticed the drive sticker said it was a LDW-451S.

    I did'nt get to installing it yet.So whats the different betwen the 2 drives? Is either one better than the other?

    The 451S has a newer pick-up head (PUH), which supposedly makes disc recognition a bit faster. Of course, the firmware alphanumerics are different compared to the 411S. Likewise for the 811S/851S series.
