  1. Can anyone suggest an application that will play a Video_TS folder in the manner of Apple's DVD player? I'd like to use my iBook (which lacks a DVD drive) to watch a movie I copy over via ethernet. Sort of a poor man's portable DVD player.

DVD Player will not launch on a machine that lacks a DVD drive. VLC doesn't give me control of the DVD's menu, although I can view the vobs and probably link them via a playlist (although I haven't tried that).

Check out this thread for info on getting DVD Player to work w/ external drives running Panther. You can also get DVD navigation with VLC if you choose the 'open disk' option in the File menu, and play with that.
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté."
