  1. I was wandering the best way to back up a DVD that I have already backed up onto a disc.

Rather than go through the whole process again of using DVDBackup then Toast. Should I just use Toast to make a straight disc copy?

I have chucked away the original files created by DVDBackup due to lack of space. And while I'm importing the files from the backed uo DVD at the moment it keeps saying it cannot back up certain files due to errors occuring - that's why I'm not sure if this will work anyway. Is there usually problems backing uo an alreadt backed up disc?

there is when the disk that was burned is bad, or cheap media

this is typical of poor quality dvdr's
they burn fine, you let them sit a bit, and try to copy or read them and they dont work

the best way is to use toast like you are doing, or to just OPTION COPY the disk over to the hd then burn it

but if the disk has read errors it becomes impossible for this to happen

  3. I was using these DVDRs:

    Azo
    Lead In Info VANGUARD
    Top Surface Colour Unbranded White
    Writing Surface Colour Purple
    Max Write Speed upto 4x
    Max Storage Data 4.7Gb

Do you or anyone know if they are any good? or has anyone got any suggestions of something better at a reasonable price?

I'm a bit gutted as I've backed up so many DVDs using these discs and I've just bought another load of them.

  4. PS

I've just tested the DVD that I backed up and it seems to play fine in all the chapters. Please let me know if you think the media I've chosen is poor - is there any site that reviews and recommends media?
