    Is there a way to change my avi mpg or divx movies to dvd vob files? so I can play them on a stand alone dvd player. I know they have a Video_Ts folder with the vob files in it. Can this be done?

    Yes, find a good guide in the Convert section at left. Once you have a DVD MPEG file, go to the Author section and find a guide for you to authour it to the files you need for your burner.
