    My PS2 3001 v4 has played backed up DVD's nicely in the past (Imation DVD+R, Sony 510UL, DVDxCOPY Express). Now, I get a disk error when I try to play.

    Can someone explain why my PS2, all of the sudden, wishes not to perform???

    maybe something got knocked loose or your laser's dying out (it's easier for a laser to read stamped media)

    I don't think any player will plays cd's if they're burned. :P
