    Hi all,

    Please, forgive me if this has been posted before, I've made a search using the words "TMPGENC" and "Demux", took a quick look but hasn't found anything related to that;
    Still, it's very unlikely I am the first one with this problem, as it happened to a largely popular software;

    I extracted a MPEG file from an DVD-R disc (using TMPGENc DVD Author) and saved it properly at the HDD - OK this part, 2.0 AC3 audio muxed in;

    Then, I went to do the demuxing at TMPGEnc , the file is 38 min long.

    While audio has been demuxed properly, video M2V file showed only 19:15 minutes....I tried 4 times and in all cases TMPGENc demuxed only the same part always of the MPEG file

    No error messages......curiously, as I said, AC3 demuxed file is OK;

    It happens ONLY to this specific file...any guess ? I've tried 4 times
    Completely weird for me

    Thanks,

    Zetti

    Try demuxing with another program, like DVD2AVI. What program r u using to test/play the demuxed *.m2v file with?? Normally, MPEG-2 video of that we put on DVDs is VBR. Some player programs (WMP?) do not accurately report playing times with VBR streams; try playing your file (and slogging through all 38mins of it) and see if it indeed is as long as expected. The demuxed *.ac3, though, is CBR, so playing time indication is accurate. If the playing time is really wrong then that file may be corrupted (at least the video part).
    M: Bond, I want you back.

    Thanks, actually all softwares indicated the too short length, VS7, DVDitPE and WMP;

    WOMBLE MPEG demuxed it properly, so I really believe there's a buggy in TMPGENc;
