20frames masked, (1 frames bad 19 frames good but uncodable)

that's what i got from this filei couldn't convert.
what's wrong with it. and how do i fix the bad file?
I'm using Virtualdub 1.5.10

You need to cut out those 20 frames. In VDUB just mark the start and end fram then cut (hit the delete key). It won't really delete them, just electronically snip them. You can then save the AVI as a new edited one, or frameserve to encode to MPEG.

The frames have been masked by vdub so there is no need to remove them manually, just save the file with a new name and it will save the file minus the bad frames.

If you have a file encoded with vbr audio, however, this may cause audio sync problems. If this is the case use vdub mp3 freeze, which can handle vbr audio. This will give a log of the bad frames which you have to remove manually.
