    I bought the Apex 2600 real cheap from Amazon. However, it doesn't read TDK 2.4X -R or CompUSA 1x -R burning with a Sony DRU510a. Does anyone have one that works with burned media? If so, what media do you use so that I don't spend a ton of money experimenting on every brand out there.

    Ritek DVD+R and +RW worked.

    This player is very picky about media type. It wouldn't even play some of the CDR I have. So I return it to Amazon and picked up a Daewoo 480 from Costco. So far I have yet to find a media that it has problem with.
