Say a website has a link so you can watch a clip of a music video online "buffering" (realplayer for example) and that stuff, can you somehow capture it to watch it offline later? Because my connection is too slow to see it properly and all I get are stills with sound :/

    No hope for you, sorry

What you can do, If you can show the video on your desktop,
you can grab it with SNAG-IT or CAM STUDIO

these programs record whatever plays in your media player or dvd software

First you have to play it back properly without dropping frames..
Then and only then, can you play with saving options in -- these "non SAVABLE" video formats

There are programs that do this. Streambox is one of them.

  5. HiDownload is another.
    start "watching" the video
    open temporary internet files
look for the windows media file
    copy to your desktop
    open in notepad
    copy url from " mms:// " to " .wmv "
    paste in HiDownload

Capturing streaming video isn't an exact science. Like everything else, one side builds a better mousetrap and the other is building a better mouse! There are some streaming that CamStudio won't do.
