(S)VCDs wont play on standalone teac dvdplayer

Ive recently bought a cd burner and tried to make my own VCDs. Ive been using TMPEGEnc and DVDx to rip dvds. But for some reason my dvd play will only play the videos that ive burnt onto a CD-RW. It plays my VCDs from asia too but not my VCDs ive made myself on CD-R. does anyone know what the problem is?

it depends on the bitrate you've used and what encoder and what template if any, and if they are xvcd's.

Teac's should play about all (i got a 1300 or 3300 model, cant recall offhand.), depending on the media, though.

Mine will play about all vcd's, dvd's, xvcds (lower bitrate than 1150)but not mpg2 xvcd's e.g. Sefy's template.
