  1. hi,
I have a ATI Redeon 9000 Pro and I have this problem, everytime I play AVI files or Divx files my computer will restart it self. Whenever I play Mpeg, asf or wmv files it's fine. Does anyone know of a fix I could use.

First, reinstall your player. If that does not work, I suggest a system restore.

  6. whenever I download AVi movies and I used windows media player to watch them they begin to play and then all of a sudden my computer will restart it self and then after it restarts it self it says there was a critical system error and according to microsoft I have a device driver error but my graphics card drivers are up to date. I can play Mpeg, asf, or wmv videos just fine. I've used ATI's player as well and it still does it. The type of graphics card I'm using is ATI's Radeon 9000 Pro 128 mb ddr.
