Any files that are said to be convertabile,
any presets, any settings will lead me to
AppleScript Error
Cant't get text item 2 of "/somewhere/whatevername.***".
(-1728)
I have tried, files from a small 1.4 MB (avi) to a large
7.1 GB (Video_TS folder) but whichever size, whichever
type, it doesn't matter when I click the "Encode" button,
this message appears.
I have read
http://homepage.mac.com/major4/videots_divx.html
and did exactly what was told, but still have the same
error.
I have tried several older versions after
completely deleting the current 0.0.9 and its
engines and the plist and the installer plist,
but nothing seems to be changed.
I am pretty confident that the installation of the
mpeg2enc, mencoder, mplayer
was correctly done. And when trying out the
older version, I am pretty confident that all the
related files were properly deleted.
Please tell me what the problem is.

You're probably using a system with japanese encoding. Set text encoding to English in the International system preferences.
No wonder it worked well on the Panther beta seed
and not on the regular 10.2, because panther didn't have
a Japanese Language set.
Thanks major!!
P.S. Am I the only Japanese using this software?
